HOUSTON, Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BBVA is among the top 25 multinational workplaces in the annual ranking by Great Place To Work®, the prestigious international consultancy. The Spain-based parent company of BBVA Compass is ranked eighth overall, and is the top-ranked multinational workplace in the financial industry on the list.

The list includes 25 of the most recognizable names in business, with Google at the top overall. To land on the list, the companies had to be recognized in the last 12 months in at least five countries in which they operate, have more than 5,000 employees throughout the world and have more than 40 percent of all their employees working outside the country where its main offices are located.

With a global workforce of more than 100,000 employees and a footprint that extends through 31 countries, the BBVA Group has been on the Great Place to Work rankings in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.
